I was born in Las Cruces, NM, USA a few decades ago. I grew up playing soccer and eating Mexican food. I still do both as much as possible.

I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from New Mexico State University in 2006, and a M.S. in Computer Science from University of Arizona in 2009 under Dr. Richard T. Snodgrass, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Queen's University in 2012 under Ahmed E. Hassan and Dorothea Blostein.

I previously worked as a Software Engineer in the Operations Research department at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, AZ. Before that I interned as a Software Engineer in the Information Management department at Los Alamos National Labs in Los Alamos, NM. Before that I was a student software developer for the ICT and M-TEC departments at NMSU.

In 2009 I somehow tricked the beautiful and talented Dr. Tandy Thomas into marrying me. She has thus far stuck around.

Perl has saved my life. I dream in vi. I deify LaTeX. R is my dear friend.

I love traveling, cooking, wining, and learning.
